  • The school cannot expel her. They can expel anyone who threatens another student's life, however. They are violating school AND legal laws.

  • She didn't contact a lawyer. It was documented that she went to the school, twice, saying it was unconstitutional. When they refused to take out the words, she then contacted the ACLU.

  • No one is stopping you from praying, wearing a cross, or putting a nativity scene on your property. Guess what? If that banner read Allah, instead of Heavenly Father, would you be pissed? Bet you would since in your mind you are still being censored.

  • The clergy are now being booed for their support for the girl, I'll bet. People already boo at the priest that supports her (I think his name is Mr. Anderson), even in hos own church.

  • Mada, doesn't mean it happens to all atheists. For instance, there are animal rights activists that won't take ANY life-saving medication if it was tested on animals. Some are hypocrites and take it if they are close to dying. Others, completely refuse and will accept death.

  • Cape, my family left a church because the monsignor was using religion to be an ass to people. And the church basically said that prayers will come true if you were a good Catholic and the prayers were for a good cause. The other thing that was taught was the God was the only one to cure people.

  • Otto, she didn't want the banner to be taken down; just heavenly father and amen. That was it. There is nothing wrong with it if you took those words out. She told the school, twice, it was unconstitutional and for those words to be removed. The school said no and called her bluff.
